Have off for Columbus Day? Make it a day ON and help strengthen the rent laws!

We will be knocking on doors for stronger rent laws in the Eastchester Heights Apartment Buildings, which is the largest rent stabilized in Speaker Carl Heastie district.

Now more than ever, our state legislators need to feel the power of the tenants' movement and hear the voices of New Yorkers threatened by increasingly high rent. That's why we are canvass in the Bronx to demand that Speaker Heastie repeal the vacancy bonus, make preferential rent permanent, and repeal vacancy decontrol on the FIRST day 2019 legislative session.

First time canvassing, we will do a training before we start!

What: We'll collect postcards to be delivered to the Speaker and encourage folks to attend a rent law teach-in
